January 18th is the birthday of Pooh’s creator, A.A. (Alan Alexander) Milne, born in 1882, making today the 135th anniversary of Milne’s birth. Pooh is a fictional bear inspired by a black bear named Winnie who lived at the London Zoo during World War I. The author’s son, Christopher Robin, would visit the bear often and named his own teddy bear after her and a swan named Pooh.

Pooh is timeless! My now 32-year-old son had a stuffed PoohBear as a toddler and he took it everywhere!

One particular busy weekend of visiting friends and BBQs, Pooh got misplaced. After retracing our steps, we realized where he was…at church! LOL! It was ten at night and my son was near hysteria because “Pooh was all alone and scared.”

And, you guessed it! After a couple of phone calls, we found someone with keys to open the church for us!

We started having roll call in the car after that – my son had to answer for himself and his charge! 😄

I didn’t know that there is a Winnie the Pooh Day haha.

Anyway, during my research the other day for funny book titles, I came across one titled “Cooking with Pooh” 🙂
