Title: Hearthstone Alpha ( The Úlfrinn Series, #1)
Author: A.C. Melody
Publisher: Red Sage Publishing
Genre: Contemporary Paranormal Romance (Wolf Shifters)
Release Date: June 1, 2017
All Reyna Daniels wants is to secure her return home to Minneapolis to be with her family. The last thing she needs is to find her world completely inundated by the magnetizing, hostile Corbyn Bruschard and his group of male-model friends.
Corbyn’s not ashamed at being everywhere, since it’s his territory, and he’s certainly not going to apologize for trying to keep Reyna safe. Especially, when she’s his mate.
With all signs pointing to an old enemy’s return, Reyna’s going to have to suck it up and face her ancient Norse heritage fast, whether she’s ready to or not. That doesn’t mean she has to accept being mated to an Alpha who threatens all of her hard-earned independence.
A.C. Melody is a hybrid Author of Erotic Romance and its many sub-genres. Confessed javaholic, introverted geeky girl with a twisted sense of humor and a wretched muse.
She has a weakness for hard ass Alphas and the strong women who capture their hearts, without damaging their rough edges. No matter how submissive or demure, her female leads have a core of strength and a willingness to admit their own flaws and evolve, not just demand that of their men.
When it comes to gambling, A.C. admits she’s 100% guilty of placing all her money on the underdogs, anti-heroes, and shameless whores.

“Little Queen (The Ùlfrinn Series, Book 2)”
Author: A.C. Melody
Genre: Erotic Paranormal Romance/Norse Mythology
Release date: July 1, 2017
It’s All About the Romance!
Reyna Daniels and Corbyn Bruschard make an effort to be in a committed relationship, but each is still hindered by their own hidden fears.
However, fear takes a backseat to rage and the need to protect.
Unable to reach good buddy, Jesse (a lone wolf), back in Chicago, Reyna Daniels is worried he’s fallen back in with the wrong crowd. When her Chicago apartment is burglarized and Chicago PD insists Reyna returns for questioning, Corbyn’s spidey senses go into high alert… with good reason.
Corbyn Bruschard is blindsided by a devastating blow during a business venture. As he begins to hunt down the guilty, Corbyn and the entire pack is sent reeling when the still anonymous-evil strikes again… and leaves Reyna on her death bed.
At first glance, it appears the Ùlfrinn are surrounded by enemies determined to wipe them out and Corbyn and his pack have little chance for success. But things—and people—are not as they appear.
Alliances are made—with reluctance—but it may yet be too late.
Corbyn is forced to take a stand when there’s dissension within the pack. He doesn’t want history to repeat itself and another Ùlfrinn is cast out because of pride, but he will not be challenged, especially when it comes to Reyna.
Reyna’s search for Jesse leads her to a secret government agency created for dealing with the supernatural *Waves to Mulder and Scully* which includes a much-too-friendly director, a female agent with an attitude, and Sean Connery, er…I mean Laird McCuine, an alpha even more powerful than Corbyn. (How is this even possible?)
Despite the power plays and intrigue moving the story along, it’s the love story of Corbyn and Reyna which wins the day. Much respect to the destiny of Fated Mates, but these two will settle for nothing less than true love. The relationship is give and take with tiny wins for each along the way. There are ‘squee’ moments to make the reader smile and cheer these two on as they fall in love. The intimate scenes are again graphic but without being overdone. The running dialogue and character internal thoughts keep this about bonding hearts and not just orgasms. The Ùlfrinn and their Norse heritage provide the paranormal, but the Alpha and his Valkyrie bring the romance. *Swoons*
As Reyna’s Ùlfr begins to awaken it doesn’t change her but instead strengthens who she is… who she’s always been. While Reyna has never been anyone’s fool, she begins to sync with her long dormant wolf and finds power which surprises everyone… except Corbyn.
The Norse Mythology runs even deeper in Little Queen, and it is flawless. The mythology is crucial to whether or not Reyna survives, and if the search for the guilty is successful.
There is a book 3 in the Ùlfrinn series, but Little Queen doesn’t leave you hanging off a cliff wanting answers. Major points are nicely tied up and resolved while keeping the mythology alive.
True love, a front yard battle of wolves, a kidnapping, a poisoning, a female agent just asking to have her ass handed to her, ice cream thefts, one woman’s efforts to redefine shopping, Night, Mare, and a succubus.

Paranormal Romance at its BEST!
Reyna Daniels returns unannounced to her home in Minnesota. Having left almost eight years ago with only brief visits since, the event planner allows her family to believe she’s only in town long enough to help her boss coordinate a major social event.
But Reyna Daniels has a secret she’s not ready to divulge. However, she begins to realize there’s more going on with her brother, Madison ‘Maddy’ Daniels, and his ‘work crew’ than meets the eye and knows she’s not the only one with secrets.
From the beginning when a ‘trespasser’ is spotted on the property, Reyna’s nerves are on edge. Or is it because of six and a half feet of mighty, mouth watering manliness? To be fair, the whole ‘work crew’ is obscenely handsome, worthy of any magazine cover. But, it’s when Corbyn Bruschard is near, Reyna can’t think, can barely speak, and is always on the defensive.
And she’s at a total loss as to why.
Corbyn knows why… because he is Ùlfrinn and Reyna is his mate. He scents her the second he enters Maddy’s house.
Unlike the usual paranormal romance, the challenge isn’t so much convincing Reyna she is Corbyn’s mate… but making her accept her own Ùlfrinn heritage.
Not an easy feat when Reyna and Maddy’s parents convinced them long ago that hiding who they are kept them safe from the devastation of the past and those who lurk in the shadows of the present. Reyna buried her heritage deep and lived as a human. Can she change? Does she want to?
And that’s just the first 15% of the story!
Tightly written and deftly paced, author A.C. Melody straps us into a rollercoaster and holds us hostage, but it’s such a fun ride with no lag time.
Reyna Daniels is an independent woman. She left Pine Grove for college in Chicago, determined to live in peace on her own. Me thinks she might have been a bit hasty seeing as how her parents left town right behind her, RVing around the country. Still, I like Reyna. She’s practical and logical. She has a strong spirit, and she doesn’t take herself too seriously.
Corbyn Bruschard is 100% Alpha, make no mistake. But he’s not the harsh, iron-fisted Alpha–although I wouldn’t be the one to push his buttons—he’s the type who leads by example and compassion. He’s the type who thinks nothing of playing superhero with a three-year-old. He’s also the type who will rain devastation down on you if you mess with his pack… or his mate.
I like these two together, their chemistry has depth. When they let their guards down, it’s pure joy and romance. When they banter, it’s hilarious… okay, at least to me. The intimate scenes between them are graphic, but not gratuitous. The accompanying dialogue allows you inside their thoughts… and hearts.
I was not happy with Reyna Daniels for about five minutes. Her inner thoughts of ‘what if?’ and ‘probably not’ were becoming exhausting [to me]. She compares the burgeoning relationship with Corbyn to her past relationships—all three of them—attempting to predict the outcome of what she and Corbyn have. Reyna knows what she wants but is afraid the past will repeat itself.
But it can’t. Because she has never been as open (or open at all) with any man the way she has with Corbyn. Not knowing about Reyna’s prior relationships, I MUST give her the benefit of the doubt not only because I’ve trusted her this far, but because we all ‘are the sum of our experiences.’ Reyna’s thoughts didn’t take her out of character… just stalled her, not allowing her to move forward. When Reyna mentally smacked herself in the head and was honest with herself, we were once again BFFs.
Speaking of BFFs, this story has an amazing ensemble cast of memorable characters, but none more so than Serena Daniels, Reyna’s childhood best friend and sister-in-law. Regardless of the situation, Serena, petite though she may be, is large and in charge. Serena has no problem keeping a salacious bunch of male models, er, I mean pack members in line, mothering a three-year-old, having Reyna’s back, and being there for Maddy, the love of her life.
All of this is delivered on a tapestry of detailed Norse Mythology (NOT the Marvel Comics kind) that keeps you anchored in your seat and reading.

“Little Queen (The Ulfrinn Series, Book 2)”
Author: A.C. Melody
Genre: Erotic Paranormal Romance/Norse Mythology
Release date: July 1, 2017
The bliss Reyna and Corbyn found in their unique Úlfr engagement is quickly forgotten as their ongoing conflict grows just as passionately as their hearts and desires. Reyna needs her independence and reassurance that their feelings are real. Corbyn needs to keep her safe, and for Reyna to accept him as her mate once and for all. If only their enemies would give them a moment to sort out their relationship woes, but it seems their only interest is to tear the new Wolf King and his would-be Queen apart. With the clock ticking toward inevitable war, Corbyn’s worst fears are realized when someone ups the ante, striking at his mate from the one place he never saw coming.
Frightened and angry, Corbyn rushes Reyna to the Elders, only to end up on their healing table next. After the back-to-back horrors, Reyna realizes she needs to make a crucial decision that will change their lives forever… and possibly save them. Fate decides to put that to the test immediately, drawing them right into enemy territory where Reyna will finally discover what’s become of Jesse and gets an unexpected audience with real Úlfrinn royalty.
Just when it seems they’ve found solid footing at last, their world is shaken in a horrific homecoming of bloodshed and betrayal. Their greatest fears can no longer be ignored, as they find themselves facing the evidence of their arrival… along with a living Nightmare. Can Corbyn trust his Little Queen to make the right decision for herself and their entire pack, or will he lose everything he’s ever loved in one fateful night?
“Reyna.” Benny nodded at her. “It was very nice meeting you. Let me know if you ever change your mind about sticking this man in a cage.”
She chuckled and accepted the partial embrace from the older man.
“Guess I better be on my best behavior,” Corbyn said.
“Oh, why ruin a good thing now?” Reyna sighed sweetly, causing Benny to laugh wholeheartedly.
“Damn good time to start, Bruschard!” he called after them.
Waving above his head as they walked away, Corbyn grinned at Reyna and pulled her closer to his side. Returning to the club was a pleasant relief, but heaven was found when they stepped out into the fresh afternoon air and the more tolerable noise of the city. Reyna inhaled deeply, closing her eyes to feel the warmth of the sun on her face. More heat enveloped her with the hand Corbyn used to cup her cheek. Backing her into the wall, he feasted on her mouth, his grip tightening possessively.
“A thousand times over, I will make that up to you, falleg,” he vowed. “I thought I lost you today. That wasn’t how I wanted to show you how grateful I am that I didn’t.”
“Corbyn, I’m the one who insisted on coming here,” she reminded him, blinking to clear her blurry vision.
“If I would’ve just told you the truth.” He shook his head.
“I still would’ve insisted, just to sate my curiosity,” she admitted.
Studying her face, Corbyn pressed a soft kiss to her lips again. “I have no idea how I got so damn lucky,” he confessed aloud.
“Oh, I’m only in it for the thousand-times-over repayment plan.” She smiled coyly.
Laughing, he kissed her loudly, almost playfully on the mouth, before his expression turned carnal. “Can I repay you in orgasms?”
